Position Summary

Staten Island Veterinary Group is a busy and friendly small animal veterinary clinic seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to dogs and cats while building strong, trusting relationships with our clients.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries

• Administer medications, and treatments as directed

• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats

• Educate clients on animal care, medications, and post-treatment instructions

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic preferred

• Strong animal handling and patient care skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented

• Open 7 days per week, daytime hours, must be available to work Saturdays or Sundays

• Certification in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent experience) preferred

Salary Range: $20-$28/hr
