On December 4th, the Brookdale Jersey Blues cross country team took to the streets of Asbury Park for a 5K course in the annual Santa Fun Run to help raise money for the local charity, Lunch Break, located in Red Bank, NJ.

All runners were given a Santa suit at registration to run a closed course on the streets of Asbury Park, starting at The Stone Pony. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to Lunch Break in addition to all funds raised by runners.

Serving everyone with compassion and dignity, Lunch Break freely provides food, clothing, life skills, and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond. They strive to break the cycle of poverty for those they serve and guide community members in need to self-sufficiency and healthier, more productive lifestyles.

The Brookdale Jersey Blues cross country team finished in the top ten in the country, and are the Region XIX Division III Men’s Team Champions and Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division III Men’s Team Champions.
