The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) has announced they will hold the annual Awards and Installation Luncheon on March 21 at The Renaissance, Ocean Township. The event will honor local 2023 high school senior scholarship winners and acknowledge outstanding community service by distinguished representatives of the Greater Ocean Township community. Among the list of honorees is Brookdale Community College President David M. Stout, Ph.D., who will be awarded the 2023 Educational Ambassador Award for his significant influence and impact at Brookdale and within the business community.

“Overseeing a college that serves over 20,000 students in five locations, your long tenure at Brookdale Community College has led to the college being ranked #1 Best Community College Programs in NJ and Best Transfer Programs,” said GOTCC Board President David Kolakowki, and Awards & Installation Luncheon Chairman Robert Acerra, announcing the award to President Stout. “Thanks to your dedication, Brookdale is considered a frontrunner in preparing students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.”

The GOTCC will also install three new members to the Board of Directors at the luncheon: Perry Weyser, Goode & Weyser CPA, Jennifer Gorka, New Jersey Natural Gas, Scott Garland, Kearny Bank will be inducted to the 2023 Board of Directors.

“We are excited to continue this long tradition of recognizing outstanding local high school students and our notable community leaders,” said Kolakowski. “It’s been a challenging few years for both students and local citizens but as always, many individuals rise to the occasion and accomplish extraordinary deeds. We look forward to the opportunity of honoring them at this annual event.”
