Walking Tour: Freehold

Step back in time and enjoy this walking tour of Freehold’s rich history from colonial times to the early 20th century. Stops on the tour include St. Peter’s Church. Monmouth County Historical Association Museum where participants will have the option of taking a tour of the museum. The Museum charge is $5 for entrance. Meet at the steps of the Monmouth County Hall of Records on East Main Street. Please note: a refund will not be issued if the rain date is used.

Echoes of Asbury - Walking/Trolley Tour: Lunch at Brookdale's Culinary Arts Center, AP

Before Asbury was cool (again), it was weird, wonderful, and just a little bit wild. On Echoes of Asbury, The History Chick serves up a spicy stroll through the seaside city’s most iconic moments – think eccentric founders, flaming ships, musical legends, and babies in bonnets strutting like divas. We’ll spill the tea on James A. Bradley (spoiler: not just a statue, sashay through the legacy of the Baby Parade, relive the eerie wreck of the Morro Castle, and soak in the sounds and stories of Convention Hall and the legendary local music scene. Meet at Convention Hall, 1300 Ocean Ave, enjoy a walk and talk to The Carousel for trolley pick up to Brookdale’s Culinary Arts Center. Hop back on the trolley following a gourmet lunch for the return to Convention Hall.
