Get into the holiday spirit with a twist of mystery and excitement as the Murder Mystery Co. presents, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. Join us for a festive evening of intrigue, laughter, and suspense.

Silver bells are ringing at this seasonal standup performance, but the jolly jokester gets upstaged by an event far worse than bad holiday comedy: a murder! With humbug hovering over the holiday cheer, it is up to the unamused audience to unravel the mystery of whodunnit, much like last year’s tacky knitted holiday sweater. While murder is making the night not-so-merry-and-bright, you must gather information, bribe your guests for clues, and solve the crime before this comedy act becomes a tragedy!

To add to the festive fun, find your most joyous holiday attire to make this event a colorful spectacle as you seek to solve the crime! Ugly sweaters, garb gifted from the in-laws fit only for the back of the closet, and garish color clashes will be all the rage at this merry event.

Want to be picked as a suspect? Dress to stand out. Wear your ugliest holiday sweater, the best holiday accessories you can find, or anything that makes you feel festive!

A national touring production of Aesop’s Fables will be performing locally at the PAC. Bright Star Touring Theatre, a professional touring company based in Asheville, NC, is bringing their acclaimed show, Aesop’s Fables, to the area. This 45-minute whirlwind adventure takes audiences through the beloved 2,600-year-old tales.

Bright Star’s professional actors bring to life the stories of “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” “The Fox and the Grapes,” “The Lion and the Mouse” and “The Monkey and Her Pail.”

Brimming with audience participation and character education, this production celebrates the moral lessons available in each of these charming tales. This hilarious play is guaranteed to leave audiences of all ages rolling in the aisles with delight!

NEW for 2024! Join us for a night of mystery and mayhem! Don on your best wedding guest attire and join us for dessert, coffee/tea, and a mystery to solve!

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, but the wedding bells aren’t ringing for this not-so-happy couple when a member of the wedding party is murdered! With a raging bridezilla and an unenthused groom on the scene, it may be happily never after in this nuptial nightmare. Trade clues with your guests and help the hapless couple figure out whodunnit so they can say I do before the wedding hour passes them by!

Want to be picked as a suspect? Dress to stand out. The bride and groom aren’t picky, so you can wear just about whatever you’d like. In fact, we encourage you to wear your own wedding dress, terrible bridesmaid dresses or the most ridiculous wedding attire you can come up with. It’ll make their special day that much more special, so long as they actually get the chance to walk down the aisle!

Summer Shakespeare Ensemble

July 10-13, 17-20 at 7:00 p.m.

The performance will be located on the Great Lawn behind Larrison Hall at Brookdale Community College’s Lincroft Campus. Park in lot 2 or 3 and follow the signs.

The show is free to all with no ticket needed. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
