Critically acclaimed American novelist, short story writer, and journalist, Ernest Hemingway is considered one of the most important writers of the 20th century. Examine how his life and writing were inextricably linked to the historical events of his time. Through guided analysis of selected readings, uncover layers of meaning in his iconic fiction and discuss why his writing remains compelling and relevant.
