Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Who We’re Looking For: EmpiRx Health is undergoing remarkable expansion and is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Technician to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Risk and Services and team, ensuring that formularies are up to date and published, providing analysis, and resolve any issues with claim adjudications.


Job Responsibilities

As a Clinical Technician, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities:

• Support Director of Clinical Risk and Formulary Management to ensure formulary strategies are implemented appropriately.

• Assist in maintaining and updating formulary data, ensuring medications are accurately listed, and that formulary information is up to date in the system.

• Evaluate and process formulary medication requests while providing administrative support for the review and assessment of new drugs, therapeutic classes, and specialty medications

• Conduct thorough analysis for assigned tasks and identify any discrepancies in the data, if present.

• Enter, verify, and perform quality checks on formulary data to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity within the formulary system.

• Assist in generating reports for formulary updates, changes, and patient impact assessments. Maintain comprehensive records of formulary changes, decisions, and communications.

• Assist with publishing formulary updates, incorporating new medications and new changes as needed, while maintaining and producing formulary and UM publications.

• Respond to inquiries from internal departments and other stakeholders regarding formulary information and medication management policies.


Qualifications

YOU MUST LIVE IN OR COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO OUR OFFICE IN MONTVALE NJ TO BE CONSIDERED

• Certified pharmacy technician CPhT with at least two years of pharmacy experience working for a PBM OR at least four year in a hospital, specialty pharmacy or retail environment.

• Experience working with claims adjudication systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Proficiently utilize third party platforms and reporting tools needed for successful management of patient cases and clients (e.g., SharePoint, Formulary Navigator, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with a Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee and/or Formulary Management.

• Background in analytics

• Specialized knowledge in prescription medication analysis and research, with a relevant license if applicable.

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Medispan data and understanding it’s applications within the PBM.

Additional Information

Job Location: Montvale NJ

Salary Range: $55,000-60,000
