Need Help with Food Assistance Resources?
New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, SNAP, provides food assistance to families with low incomes to help them buy groceries through a benefits card accepted in most food retail stores and some farmers markets. Eligibility is set by several factors, such as income and resources. You can use your SNAP benefits to stretch your food budget and buy nutritious foods that can keep you and your family healthy.
The Caroline Huber Holistic Wellness Center’s Navigator, Dayna Marchek (dmarchek@brookdalecc.edu | 732.224.2800) is available to help you book an appointment to set up or check on your SNAP benefits by placing you into contact with a Monmouth County Social Worker who you can meet at the Wellness Center free of charge on the Lincroft campus.
You can also call Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Community Through Services) at 732.683.8959, from the comfort of your home or a private room at the Wellness Center to get help filling out and checking on SNAP status. This is a free service and is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
