Available Scholarships

There are many scholarships made available by the Brookdale Foundation and Brookdale Alumni Affairs.

Scholarships by Application

The following are scholarships by application. Please review the applications for criteria and deadlines to submit. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Only the recipient of a scholarship will receive an award letter via email once the selection process has been completed.

Current Available Scholarships

This list is periodically updated; please check back regularly to find scholarships that meet your criteria.

Barbara Tozzi Scholarship: In memory of Professor Barbara Tozzi who served for many years as a professor of Mathematics at Brookdale, two scholarships for $500 each will be awarded to female students with at least 15 credits in a STEM or education program.

Corporate Resource Alliance Scholarship: One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student with more than half of their currently registered classes at the Freehold regional location. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Cheryl Cummings Memorial Scholarship: Two $600 scholarships will be awarded to students currently enrolled in the Pastry Arts Certificate program. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have completed a minimum of 12 credits.

Collector Car Hobby — Mid-Jersey Region AACA Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship is available to a registered Brookdale student in the Automotive Technology Program pursuing a degree in either AAS Automotive Technology or AAS General Motors Automotive Service. Student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

DonnaLyn Giegerich Onwards and Upwards Scholarship: Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in the Nursing A.A.S. degree program and graduating in May 2026, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Kristoffer P. Anderson Endowed Memorial Culinary Scholarship: One $750 scholarship is available to a student currently enrolled in the A.A.S. Degree in Culinary Arts with a minimum of 24 credits earned and a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Jody Calendar International Travel Scholarship: Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students. This scholarship may be used to support participation in a Brookdale approved study abroad program.

Huber-Kreger Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship is available to a Brookdale Community College student who will graduate in May 2026 and is going on to a four-year college or university. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Elaine Baran Scholarship for Study Abroad: One–Three (1–3) $500 – $1,500 scholarships can be awarded to eligible students seeking to participate in a Brookdale study abroad program.

Frank Whyman Scholarship for Brookdale Students: This scholarship is open to any Brookdale Community College student, who is registered for at least six credits and who is not eligible to complete the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarships from Other Organizations:

Sage IT USA Scholarship: $1000 Scholarship. Write an article focused on “Zero Trust in the Age of AI: Rethinking Identity and Access Management for the Next Decade.”

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders created a scholarship program for Brookdale graduates who are residents of Monmouth County planning to attend Monmouth University. Nine (9) Eligible students can receive $5,000 per academic year for up to two consecutive years. Students must meet certain criteria.

Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for those affected by auto accidents.

Lounge Lizard Web Design Scholarship: $1,000 Awarded Semi-Annually for Fall & Spring Semesters & Design Critique From Ken Braun, Founder & Chief Creative Officer.

Finch College Alumni Foundation Trust Transferring Scholarship: Two (2) $2,500 scholarships, totaling $5,000, are available to eligible women, 22 years or older, graduating from a local community college and transferring to an accredited college or university in the United States. Requirements: a 3.5 grade point average; acceptance letter from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States; United States citizenship or permanent United States Green Card.
