There are many scholarships made available by the Brookdale Foundation and Brookdale Alumni Affairs.

Scholarships by Application

The following are scholarships by application. Please review the applications for criteria and deadlines to submit. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Only the recipient of a scholarship will receive an award letter via email once the selection process has been completed.

Elaine Baran Scholarship for Study Abroad:  One -Three (1-3) $500 – $1,500 scholarships can be awarded to eligible students seeking to participate in a Brookdale study abroad program. Application deadlines are October 15 and March 15, each year. Download the application HERE. 


The Frank Whyman Scholarship for Brookdale Students: This scholarship is open to any Brookdale Community College student, who is registered for at least six credits and who is not eligible to complete the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Application deadline is June 15th for the Fall semester and November 15 for the Spring semester. View requirements and application HERE.


Roger Conant & The Garden State Film Festival Scholarship: One (1) $500 scholarship to a student who is a New Jersey resident, enrolled in Media Studies, or Communications Media and has earned 12 or more credits. Application deadline is September 28, 2025. View requirement and application HERE.


The Elaine Lapham Memorial Scholarship: One $500 scholarship for a student majoring in, or taking Computer Science courses. Must be a Monmouth County resident and have earned 8 credits at Brookdale Community College and registered for at least 6 credits. Application deadline is September 21, 2025. James A. Schmitt, Ph.D. Scholarship: One (1) $4,500 scholarship for the Fall 2025 semester for a full-time student with 12 credits or more credits. Application deadline is September 21, 2025. View requirements and application HERE.


The Kristoffer P. Anderson Endowed Memorial Culinary Scholarship: One (1) $750 scholarship is available to a student currently enrolled in the A.A.S. Degree in Culinary Arts. Application deadline is September 21, 2025. View requirements and application HERE.


Dr. Anita Voogt Family Scholarship:  Two (2) $1,000 Scholarships will be awarded. Open to full or part-time students that are a current resident of Long Branch, NJ, preferably a Long Branch High School graduate. Preference is given to First generation students, Single parent, Transgender, and Females in STEM.  Application deadline is September 21, 2025View requirements and application HERE.


The Caroline Huber Memorial Scholarship: Ten (10) $500 scholarships to students who are majoring in Creative Writing, English, Media Studies, Public Relations or Journalism. Application deadline is September 17, 2025. View requirements and application HERE.


Corporate Resource Alliance Scholarship: One (1) $500 scholarship will be awarded this semester to the candidate enrolled in at least 12 credits, with more than half of their registered classes at the Freehold Regional location. Applicants must not have applied for CCOG funds. Application deadline is October 5, 2025. View requirements and application HERE.


The Harry V. Weber, Jr. Endowed Memorial Scholarship: Four (4) $500 scholarships are available to full-time or part-time students who have completed 24 credits at Brookdale. Preference will be given to students majoring in Nursing or Political Science, though students from all other majors are also eligible to apply. Deadline is October 12, 2025. Ellucian Foundation PATH Scholarship: Ten (10) $1,000 scholarships for all students in all majors to help cover tuition and fees, books and supplies, or academic-related expenses such as transportation, uniforms, etc. Deadline is September 21, 2025. View requirements and application HERE.


 

Scholarships from Other Organizations:

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders created a scholarship program for Brookdale graduates who are residents of Monmouth County planning to attend Monmouth University. Nine (9) Eligible students can receive $5,000 per academic year for up to two consecutive years.  Students must meet certain criteria. Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for those affected by auto accidents. Deadline is December 15More information Here.


Lounge Lizard Web Design Scholarship: $1,000 Awarded Semi-Annually for Fall & Spring Semesters & Design Critique From Ken Braun, Founder & Chief Creative Officer. View application and requirements Here.


The Finch College Alumni Foundation Trust Transferring Scholarship: Two (2) $2,500 scholarships, totaling $5,000, are available to eligible woman, age 22 years or older, graduating from a local community college and transferring to an accredited college or university in the United States. A 3.5 grade point average. Acceptance letter from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. United States citizenship or permanent United States Green Card.
