Brookdale Community College IT Governance
Brookdale IT Governance provides strategic leadership, establishes college-wide IT priorities and policies in accordance with the goals and objectives outlined in the Brookdale Community College Strategic Plan and aligned with the college’s mission.
Brookdale’s IT Governance structure is administered by the IT Governance Steering Committee, chaired by the Executive Director of Finance. Its members include administrators who meet quarterly and report to SELT. The structure also includes several IT Governance Standing committees that meet regularly and provide input to the IT Governance Steering Committee.
The Brookdale IT Governance structure provides for an integrated flow of information, collaboration, and decisions to support both executive level priorities and operational level activities. It establishes a mechanism for overseeing the implementation of a strategic technology plan by providing for collaboration on strategic and tactical plans. This structure is also designed to enable multi-year planning and resource allocation to fund strategic and tactical initiatives.
The Committee will provide executive-level leadership in setting Information Technology direction, establishing goals and priorities, making decisions, and recommending policies and establishing procedures and standards. Membership and Charter
