Connecting Probation Clients to Employment

The Judiciary’s Opportunities for Building Success (JOBS) program provides a tremendous benefit to both hiring companies and successful recovery and probation clients.

Developed by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and Administrative Director Glenn A. Grant, the program collaborates with the New Jersey Department of Labor, educational institutions, and a diverse network of businesses to offer comprehensive workforce development and job placement services. By fostering these valuable partnerships, the JOBS program helps probation clients secure living wage jobs with benefits, creating a pathway to lasting change and community enhancement. The purpose of JOBS is to provide services for Justice-involved individuals whose workforce conditions have impeded their successful reentry into the community. Recipients will be provided career services, training, paid internships, apprenticeships, and supportive services (for example, transportation, expungement, ID obtainment, clothing, driver’s license restoration) to increase employment opportunities.

Brookdale Community College is the lead organization for the Central New Jersey region, which includes Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Ocean, Somerset, and Union counties.
