Brookdale Community College is expanding its workforce training offerings with a new lineup of industry-focused Skilled Trades programs designed to prepare students for high-demand careers. Whether you’re looking to start a new career, build new skills, or advance in the trades, these programs will provide practical, hands-on training led by experienced industry professionals.

Welding Program
Learn the fundamentals of welding through extensive hands-on training while preparing for nationally recognized industry credentials. Students will develop skills in multiple welding processes, safety, and fabrication techniques.
HVAC Technician Apprenticeship Program
Launch a rewarding career in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry through Brookdale’s hands-on apprenticeship program. Students will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial HVAC systems while earning paid, on-the-job experience with participating employers.
This program is designed to serve as the classroom instruction component of a registered apprenticeship and supports the educational requirements for New Jersey HVACR licensing.
Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Prepare for a career as a licensed electrician through Brookdale’s apprenticeship-based training program. Students will build a strong foundation in electrical theory, wiring methods, blueprint reading, residential and commercial electrical systems, and workplace safety while gaining valuable experience through paid employment.
The program is designed to provide the related technical instruction required as part of a registered apprenticeship and supports the educational pathway toward New Jersey electrical licensure.
Plumbing Apprenticeship Program
Begin your career in the plumbing industry through Brookdale’s apprenticeship training program. Students will learn plumbing systems, pipe installation, fixtures, blueprint reading, codes, and workplace safety while gaining paid work experience with participating employers.
This program is designed to provide the classroom instruction required for a registered apprenticeship and supports the educational requirements toward becoming a licensed plumber in New Jersey.
