Overview
Brookdale Experience is the central hub for commonly used applications. Some of the content you see is personalized live data from applications like Self-Service and Canvas. Content is displayed as cards or links and organized by categories for quick, intuitive viewing and access. The corresponding Experience Mobile App provides mobile access to the same content found in the web version of Experience.
Navigating in Experience
Your default view is your Home page. The cards on your Home page are based on your Brookdale role and the frequency and need for access to the information or resource. You can use the Category sections from the menu icon to filter the cards in the screen’s center. Some Category sections can be expanded to expose additional links. Additionally, the Resources section has links to the IT Help Desk and other applications that do not logically align with the Categories. You can customize some of the cards displayed on your Home page. New features and functions are continually being released, which may result in new cards and features displaying on your Home page or nested under Categories and Category links.

Cards for Students
After logging into Experience, students are presented with the default Student Home Page. You will see an overview of your academic information, account information, and other essential resources:
Class Schedule: Your current academic class schedule.
Classes: Links to your current courses. You can view previous terms by selecting the drop-down menu next to the current term heading.
Payment Options: Link to make a payment/set up a payment plan.
Self-Service Quick links: Links to frequently used Self-Service menu items, such as Student Finance, Student Planning, Grade, etc.
Cards for Faculty
After logging into Experience, Faculty are presented with the default Faculty Home Page. You will see an overview of your academic information, account information, and other essential resources:
Faculty Quick Links: This section contains frequently used Self-Service menu items, including Academic Monitoring, Faculty Overview, and Faculty Grade Change Form.
Cards for Employees
After logging into Experience, Employees are presented with the default Employee Home Page. You will see an overview of your account information and other essential resources:
Self-Service Quick Links: This section contains frequently used Self-Service items, including Time Entry, Leave, Time Approval, and Leave Approval Form.
Anatomy of the Experience Dashboard
- Notifications: Personalized notices for users (bell icon, red dot denotes that you have notifications)
- Profile: Profile and account information.
- Announcements: Upcoming information and announcements.
- Cards: Simple information, links, or data points a role or person would need to see regularly.
- Menu: Expand the menu to view the Categories, Category links, Home link, and Discover link.
- Categories: These are used to group related cards or information. If a category contains both cards and links, it expands to display an Explore link that goes to the category page and the links in that category.
- Categories links: Related links that are grouped under categories
- Resources: The Resources section is intended for links that do not logically belong in one of the categories.
