In keeping with the New Jersey Articulation Model, students with current NJ LPN licenses have the opportunity to earn credit for three required courses (eleven credits) of the AAS degree in Nursing in an accelerated manner. See the Advanced Placement Challenge Admission Packet for more information. Students must be prepared to show a copy of a valid NJ LPN license along with their application to the program.
The Advanced Placement Challenge is scheduled to take place during Summer I. Participants will be required to:
- Attend an orientation to the Advanced Placement Challenge
- Pass a math test
- Validate nursing skills
- Participate in simulation
- Attend library orientation
- Complete compliance requirements
- Attend a program orientation
Students complete NURS 125 and NURS 111 in either Summer 3 or during the fall semester following the Advanced Placement Challenge. Students will be admitted to either the fall or the spring semester.
