  11. Bronchial Hygiene: Chest Physiotherapy
  12. Adjunct Techniques for Bronchial Hygiene

 

In RESP 164, students will acquire the following skill sets:

  1. Bedside Assessment of Pulmonary Mechanics
  2. Noninvasive Blood Gas Monitoring
  3. Arterial Blood Gas Sampling, Analysis and Maintenance
  4. Blood Gas Interpretation and Calculations
  5. Basic Chest X-ray Interpretation
  6. Pulmonary Function Testing
  7. Electrocardiography
  8. Suctioning Equipment & Processors
  9. Chest Tube Drainage Systems
  10. Bronchoscopy Assisting
  11. Pharyngeal Airways
  12. Hemodynamic Monitoring

 

In RESP 262, students will acquire the following skill sets:

  1. Artificial Airway Care and Maintenance
  2. Manual Resuscitators and Manual Ventilation
  3. Noninvasive Ventilation
  4. Pressure Ventilators
  5. Continuous Mechanical Ventilation
  6. Ventilator Modes
  7. Ventilator Initiation
  8. Patient-Ventilator System Care and Maintenance
  9. Discontinuation of Mechanical Ventilation
  10. Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care
  11. Neonatal/Pediatric Ventilation
  12. Respiratory Care in Alternate Settings

 

RESP 264

This final clinical course in the program provides the student an opportunity to review and master all prior learning experiences and clinical competencies before the capstone portion of the course.
