Welcome to the Accounting Department at Brookdale. Students interested in pursuing a four or five-year Accounting degree may choose to first earn an AS in Business Management at Brookdale. At Brookdale, you will take the general education and career courses that will allow you to transfer into a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
Accounting Degrees
Accounting, A.A.S.
This career program provides the student with the business concepts and procedures used in compiling data and financial records. The student gains understanding of accounting methods and basic accounting theory. Accounting and business courses form the core of the program. Job titles for graduates include account analyst, accounting clerk, and junior accountant. This program is not designed for transfer to a four-year school, though many of the courses will prove to be transferable. Students wishing to continue toward bachelor’s degrees should choose the Accounting Option of the Business Administration Program – A.A. Degree.

Students interested in pursuing a four or five-year degree in Accounting should consider earning their AS in Business Administration or Business AAS–Accounting Concentration at Brookdale. They will complete first and second-year general education and career courses that they can transfer.
Transfer Opportunities
Transfer Agreements by Academic Program: Articulation Agreements are formal agreements between Brookdale and other colleges and universities. These agreements define how the courses you complete at Brookdale will apply to your future bachelor’s degree when you transfer into a baccalaureate program.
