Music & Music Technology
The Music program at Brookdale prepares students for transfer to a four-year program.
Completion of an associate degree is the first step toward gaining a position as a teacher, supervisor, or director of choral, instrumental, and/or theater production programs in elementary, middle, or secondary schools, as well as in choral or instrumental organizations. Numerous full-time teaching positions exist in public and private schools for music education majors.
The Music Technology program at Brookdale provides students with the skills and expertise necessary to enter the filed of computer-generated music. The curriculum provides a complete education in the software used in the digital music industry including ProTools® and NOTION Music®.
After finishing the program, you will be an industry-certified ProTools® engineer, fluent in mixing, post-production, and uploading your music.
When you complete Pro Tools 2 with a grade of C- or higher, you will be eligible to take the exam that will earn you the coveted “Pro Tools Specialist Certification.
The power and control of over 60 instruments gives you the ability to create your own virtual interactive band, jazz combo, or orchestra.
