Brookdale’s Business Department offers programs leading to both transfer and career opportunities. Prepare for a career in financial management, marketing, human resources management, sales, operations management, or government.
The A.S. Business Administration program provides you with transfer opportunities to four-year colleges that offer Bachelor’s degrees in business or business education. Or prepare for entry-level employment in business or government through the A.A.S Business Management program.
Transferability & Dual Admissions
Make a smart start towards your bachelor’s degree. Brookdale maintains transfer agreements with many four-year colleges. You will know that the courses you complete at Brookdale will be transfer to your 4-year school.
If you graduate from the Brookdale Honors Program in the A.S. Business Administration cohort, you are guaranteed admission to the Rutgers School of Business in New Brunswick. You must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and meet other requirements.
You can also take advantage of the Dual Admissions programs with Georgian Court University and New Jersey City University.

Business Administration Program, A.S.
This program is for students wishing to transfer to four-year colleges that offer Bachelor’s degrees in business or business education. It contains a broad range of business-related courses plus the general education studies required for transfer to most four-year schools. Upon graduation from this program, and subsequent completion of a four-year degree, students will be prepared to begin careers in financial management, marketing, personnel management, sales, operations management, government, and other business-related activities with opportunities for promotion to management positions. Business Administration Program, A.S. Online
This program is for students wishing to transfer to four-year colleges that offer Bachelor’s degrees in business or business education. It contains a broad range of business-related courses plus the general education studies required for transfer to most four-year schools. Upon graduation from this program, and subsequent completion of a four-year degree, students will be prepared to begin careers in financial management, marketing, personnel management, sales, operations management, government, and other business-related activities with opportunities for promotion to management postions. Students who wish to become business education teachers upon completion of a four-year degree should also begin in this program.

Business A.A.S.
This career program is designed for students who desire entry-level employment in business-related careers. This degree, combined with work experience, may enhance promotion opportunities. The core concentrations provide specialized knowledge in specific areas of Accounting, Management, and Marketing. The program is not designed for transfer to a four-year college, although many courses will transfer. Persons wishing to transfer should select the Business Administration A.S. program.

Technical Studies Program, Business Management Option, A.A.S.
This career program is designed for students with prior work experience and apprenticeship training to earn an Associate’s degree and pursue a business career related to their technical expertise. Students may be granted up to 25 college credits from training programs approved by the American Council on Education. Students complete course work that provides management training for employment opportunities in business or in establishing their own business.

Transfer Opportunities
Transfer Agreements by Academic Program: Articulation Agreements are formal agreements between Brookdale and other colleges and universities. These agreements define how the courses you complete at Brookdale will apply to your future bachelor’s degree when you transfer into a baccalaureate program.
