Mathematics/Science Program, Physics Option, A.S.

This transfer option is designed for the student who wishes to attain a Bachelor’s degree in physics and become a physicist, engineer, or researcher. It combines study of physics and related sciences with liberal arts courses necessary for transfer.

Graduates of this program will be able to:

• Communicate the basic concepts of experimental and theoretical physics
• Apply the scientific method, fundamental principles of physics and mathematical techniques to solve problems
• Use instruments/computers to gather and analyze data and present findings
