Directions to the Lincroft Main Campus.

From North or South Jersey, use the Garden State Parkway. If you’re driving down from North Jersey be sure to choose “Local Exits” lanes after the Raritan Bridge, not the “Express” lanes.

Southbound, coming from North Jersey and New York
To avoid the congestion of Exit 109-Red Bank, our standard exit, you can use Exit 114.  Keep right – pay the toll -and make a right onto Red Hill Road. Then make a left at the next light onto Crawford Everett Road. (St. Catharine`s Church). Follow to the end – and at the T make a left onto Route 520 (Newman Springs Road). Head East on Route 520 past Christian Brothers Academy (on the left) and Thompson Park (on the right). Brookdale will be on your right – look for our red sign at the roundabout.

If you use Exit 109-Red Bank
t the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 520 West (Newman Springs Road). Stay west on Route 520 about two miles; just after the town of Lincroft, Brookdale will be on your left – look for our red sign at the roundabout.

Northbound, coming from South Jersey
Use Exit 109-Red Bank and merge to the FAR left at the bottom of the Exit ramp. Make the left onto Route 520 West (Newman Springs Road). Stay west on Route 520 about two miles, through the town of Lincroft; the College entrance will be on the left.

From Western New Jersey
Take Route 33 towards the Halls Mills Road – NORTH exit. This becomes Kozloski Road; follow north `til the intersection with Route 537. Turn right and continue east on 537 unti it intersects with Route 34. Turn left onto Route 34 North. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Phalanx Road; stay on Phalanx about 3 miles. The entrance to Brookdale will be on the left after crossing the Swimming River Reservoir bridge.

From Route 18 Northbound
Exit at 15A-Wayside Road. Follow to Route 537 to Laird Road to Phalanx Road where you will see the College entrance on the left after the Reservoir.

From Route 18 Southbound
Use the Route 520 East exit and follow to the College.

Driving Around Lincroft and Brookdale

Brookdale is located in the center of a residential neighborhood here in Middletown. Please join us in observing the following local traffic laws, enforced by both Brookdale and Middletown Police.

  • Campus speed limits are 25 MPH on roadways and 15 MPH in parking lots. The minimum fine for speeding is $78 and two points.
  • No left turn from 7-10 AM on Pine Stree, Lindy Lane, or Oak Street. (Posted signs.)
  • No right turn from 2-5 PM on Holly, Laurel, or Hickory Lanes. (Posted signs.)
  • Cutting through the BP/Amoco station on the corner of Swimming River Rd. to avoid the traffic light is a violation that carries a substantial fine and two points.

Freehold Campus

3680 Route 9 South in Freehold Township

The Freehold Campus is located on Route 9 South, just south of the Freehold Raceway Mall and CR 537 (West Main Street). From the intersection of Route 9 and CR 537, proceed approximately 4/10 mile past Pine Belt Chevrolet to the “U” Turn sign before the light. Enter the Bank of America bank entrance (in the jughandle), following signs to Brookdale Community College. Stay in the far right lane to pass the drive-up lanes and come up to the building in the rear.

To the Freehold Campus from Lincroft – Leave the campus from Phalanx Road (or exit the campus onto Newman Springs Road, make a right and continue to the first traffic light. Make a right at the light and you are on Phalanx Road). Continue on Phalanx until you come to Highway 34. Make a left at the light (St. Mary’s Church is on the right). Go to the next traffic light and make a right onto Route 537. Continue on Route 537 west into Freehold. Proceed through the center of town on Main Street (Route 537) until you reach State Highway 9. At the intersection of Route 537 and Highway 9, turn left. (The intersection is after you cross over Highway 9, just west of center Freehold.) Proceed on Highway 9 south for 1/4 mile. The Freehold Campus is located on your right in the Bank of America complex. Follow the signs for parking; park in the lot adjacent to the Campus.

From the West – NJ Turnpike – Take Exit 8, Route 33 East towards Freehold. Right after the intersection of Route 33 and Millhurst Road the road will split. Stay to the left and take the 537-East exit. Take 537 East and make a right at the second light onto Route 9 South and follow the directions above.

From the North – Garden State Parkway -Take the GSP to Exit 123 –  Route 9 South (second exit after the Raritan toll). Travel on Route 9 South approximately 8 miles to the intersection of Route 9 and 537 and follow the directions above.

From the South – Garden State Parkway – Take  the GSP to Exit 98 – follow the signs to I-195 West. Take 195 West to Exit 28B – Route 9 North.Travel on Route 9 approximately 8 miles and take the jug handle after Schanck Road across Route 9 (right past a Dunkin’ Donuts) which goes directly into the Campus parking lot.

Brookdale at Hazlet

From the Garden State Parkway, use Exit 117. Bear right after toll onto Route 35 South. Follow Route 35 South to Union Avenue (by Dearborn Farms) take the jug handle and cross over Route 35. About 3 blocks on your right is Crown Plaza, make a right; we are the first building on the left.

From Route 36 Southbound: Route 36 South to the Union Avenue turn off. About 1.3 miles on your left is Crown Plaza, make a left and we are the first building on the left.

From Route 36 Northbound: Route 36 North to Union Avenue, take the jug handle, and go over Route 36. About 1.3 miles on your left is Crown Plaza, Make a left and we are the first building on the left.

From the Garden State Parkway, North or South: Take Exit 105- Route 36 East. Stay on 36 East until the right hand turn onto Broadway (approx. 3 miles). Take Broadway approximately 2 miles all the way through until the McDonald`s on your left. The Center is the next building on the corner of Third and Broadway; parking in the rear.

From Lincroft to Neptune – When leaving campus from the main entrance, make a left onto Newman Springs Road. Continue straight on Newman Springs Road (Route 520) until you reach the entrance to the Garden State Parkway South (after the fourth light). Proceed south on the Parkway and exit at Exit 100, following signs for Route 33 East. Follow Route 33 East to Neptune Boulevard (the first light after Jersey Shore University Medical Center). Turn left onto Neptune Boulevard, and the Center is on your right, opposite the Neptune High School.

To Lincroft from Neptune – Turn left onto Neptune Boulevard when leaving the Center, and turn right at the first stop light onto Route 33 West. Continue to the Garden State Parkway North entrance. Take the GSP to Exit 109. After leaving the Parkway bear left at the light onto Newman Springs Road (Route 520). Continue through the town of Lincroft (past four traffic lights). About 1/2 mile further, the entrance to the College will be on your left.

Brookdale at Wall

Monmouth Boulevard at 6th Street

Brookdale at Wall (on the former Camp Evans military installation) shares premises with the New Jersey Coastal Communiversity, a partnership of 7 colleges offering associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degree courses to central New Jersey coast residents. Visit the Communiversity online.

From Route 18 South: Take Route 18 South and exit at 7A. Continue for approximately 1/2 mile until you come to the Stop sign. Make a right at the Stop sign onto Marconi Road. Proceed for 1/4 mile, making a right on to Monmouth Boulevard. Travel 1/4 mile and make a left into the Center.

From New Jersey Garden State Parkway, North or Southbound: Use Exit 98. Take NJ Route 138 (also US 195 here) East to Route 18 North. On 18 North only briefly; take Exit 6C. Make a right turn onto Monmouth Boulevard. Stay on Monmouth Boulevard, going straight at the stop sign. Continue on Monmouth Boulevard for 1/4 mile and make a right turn at the gate near the Brookdale Communiversity sign. Parking and main entrance is on the south side of the building.

From Route 195: Stay on Route 195 until you see the signs for Route 18 North; then follow directions as above.
