II. Objective of Regulation

To ensure that the objectives of the solicitations are consistent with the objectives of the College and do not violate other existing policies and regulations.

IV. Regulation Statement

A. Solicitations by Recognized Student Organizations and/or Individual Members of the Student Body, Faculty, or Administration

Student organizations and individual members of the faculty, administration, and student body may solicit on College property only after receiving permission from the Office of Student Life and Activities. Procedures are established that may restrict times and places for such solicitations so there will be a minimal interference with the normal functioning of the College. The Office of Student Life and Activities will assure that there is no solicitation for illegal purposes or those which offend public decency.

B. Solicitations by Non-Students

Non-student groups or individuals may solicit from students on College property only if sponsored by a student organization and with the permission of the Vice President, Office of Outreach, Business and Community Development. The same general guidelines as to procedures and objectives will apply to these groups or individuals.
